Traditions and customs in our commune

Traditions and customs are important values of our culture, because they illustrate the depth of our nations’ philosophy and the vision of life in long historical periods. Folk tradition as an original and many-sided art influenced throughout centuries life, history, behavior and creativity.

In our commune we have three very specific traditions: the "Bikaütés", "Betlehemezés" and "Aprószentekelés”. Unfortunately in recent years these traditions started to lose from their importance. To prevent their lost, our Association has launched a project under which we try to preserve and revitalize these great traditions in forms of documentary films.
